04.14.03 - California Small Business Certification |
P I A D'OR
| |
Government Contracting Opportunities with the City, State, and County of San Francisco, California, are being offered to Individuals and Companies in the Private & Corporate Sector wanting to pursue contract work for projects, product development and/or services, as well as building relations and retention.
a California Small Business Certification is not necessarily required pertinent to submission of a Proposal [ again it is on a case by case basis ]. However it is part of my requirements for sub-contractual appointment[s], Vendors, Service Providers, Supply chain distributors and manufacturers.
Substantial elements provided in the proposal package leads to significant results in the reviewing and approval process.
I would like to advise those interested in contractual appointment opportunities with Pia D'or consider eligibility to become a "Certified California Small Business."
As a certified small business, you:
Qualify for a 5% bid preference on applicable state contracts.
Are eligible for benefits under the Prompt Payment Act including higher interest penalties for late, undisputed invoice payments (except for construction firms which are addressed under Public Contract Code 10261.5).
Are listed in the state's Internet Certified Firm Listing giving your firm more visibility and expanded business networking opportunities.
To be eligible for small business certification, your business:
Must be independently owned and operated;
Cannot be dominant in its field of operation;
Must have its principal office located in California; Must have its owners (or officers in the case of a corporation) domiciled in California; and Together with its affiliates, be either:
A business with 100 or fewer employees, and an average annual gross receipts of $10 million or less over the previous three tax years, or
A manufacturer with 100 or fewer employees. Access our online Small Business Certification Application (STD. 813), or to receive your hard-copy form by mail, e-mail osdchelp@dgs.ca.gov or call (800) 559-5529 or (916) 375-4940.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this matter.
In addition, being that I am the Business Developer and Main Contractor, I will obtain more information about the One-Source, Pre-Source, Out-Source process. And if the above aforementioned is required, at all.
Cheers, Pia
